How The Warm Loft Came to Be
The Warm Loft didn't begin as a store. It began as a standard — a personal conviction that the things we put in our homes, on our skin, and in our hands should be genuinely better than what's mass-produced and mass-marketed.
Built on nearly four decades of finance experience and 31 years of military service — The Warm Loft didn't happen by accident.
We are Donald and Sam — a husband and wife team who have called San Diego home for 24 years. Donald retired from the United States Navy after 31 years of service as an Explosive Ordnance Disposal technician. Sam runs the brand — and has spent a lifetime being drawn to the beautiful, the intentional, and yes, the gloriously blingy.
We started as a seasonal Christmas store
Donald even starred in our launch video — let's just say his on-camera performance in an elf suit was unforgettable and leave it at that. 🎄 It was a joyful beginning. But seasons end — and we wanted something that lasted all year. We realized we weren't just trying to sell products — we were trying to curate a feeling. The feeling of opening something clearly chosen for you. The feeling of wearing something that makes you walk differently. The feeling of giving a gift that actually means something. So we evolved into something year-round, intentional, and entirely our own.
Then we got serious
We spent two years working alongside a beekeeper developing a beeswax collection we genuinely believed in. We designed handbags because we couldn't find what we were looking for. We created phone accessories that finally look like jewelry. We hand-assemble every gift box ourselves — because the way something arrives matters as much as what's inside.
And then there's Paws & Pearls — our pet jewelry line born from the belief that the bond between a pet and their owner is one of the most genuine relationships there is. Both of them deserve to look the part.
Everything here has a reason for being here
We don't add products to fill space. We add them because they're genuinely better — and we can tell you exactly why. That's the standard Donald brought home from 31 years of service. That's the eye Sam brings to every collection. That's The Warm Loft.
A veteran-owned curation house. Gifts given with intention. That's The Warm Loft.
